What are the qualifications to become a NASCAR driver?

I keep thinking about becoming a Nascar driver but I don't know the qualifications to become one, can someone tell me please?

You must start at your local dirt or asphalt race track. Build yourself a good racing resume. Alot of seat time. Don't limit yourself to one track try and race on both small and larger tracks. I race on 3/8 and 1/2 mile dirt tracks. I started on a little 1/4mile track personally I think this is the way to go It teaches you car control tight racing. Don't give up you have to be determined to make it . I' am from MO I can remember when CARL EDWARDS was handing out business cards at the track saying who he was. A friend of mine actually tuned him down one night( to drive his car)
